Where are you guys getting the 22192 number? I did a wc -l in
main/release, contrib/release and non-free/release yesterday and got
around 16,500. If you're also counting stuff in /backports , /updates
and /testing I don't think you should, as they're really variants of the
stuff in /release , not *different* packages (as in stuff that isn't
packaged in /release at all).
