This time, 1145 online clients from the <a href=\"http:\/\/jabber.apinc.org\/\">Apinc Jabber server<\/a> replied to the poll. It was done around 4:30 PM, french local time. Here are the results.<\/p>\n<p>Systems :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>GNU\/Linux : 38% (in september 2005: 34%)<\/li>\n<li>Windows : 37% (34%)<\/li>\n<li>Mac OS : 18% (23%)<\/li>\n<li>Others (AmigaOS, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, SunOS) : 0% (1%)<\/li>\n<li>Unknown (Gaim doesn&#8217;t always report the OS) : 5% (6%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Clients :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Psi: 28% (28%)<\/li>\n<li>Gaim: 25% (25%)<\/li>\n<li>iChatAgent: 13% (18%)<\/li>\n<li>Kopete: 7% (7%)<\/li>\n<li>Gajim: 5% (3%)<\/li>\n<li>Pandion: 4% (2%)<\/li>\n<li>libgaim: 4% (3%)<\/li>\n<li>Miranda: 2% (1%)<\/li>\n<li>neos: 2% (1%)<\/li>\n<li>BitlBee: 1% (0%)<\/li>\n<li>Exodus: 1% (1%)<\/li>\n<li>Trillian: 1% (2%)<\/li>\n<li>Unknown: 0% (none)<\/li>\n<li>JBother: 0% (none)<\/li>\n<li>JAJC: 0% (0%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All clients with at least one reply are listed here.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll let you do the analysis :-) I&#8217;m just quite happy with the fact that we know have much less Mac users (most of them were <i>parasites<\/i> only interested in the MSN gateway).<\/p>\n<p>The scripts are available on request if you want to run them against your own server.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I already did this last september.
