The number of packages using traditional debhelper might\u00a0soon be lower than those using CDBS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patch systems and packaging formats<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lucas-nussbaum.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/formats-patches-2015.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-895\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lucas-nussbaum.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/formats-patches-2015.png\" alt=\"formats-patches-2015\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lucas-nussbaum.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/formats-patches-2015.png 900w, https:\/\/www.lucas-nussbaum.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/formats-patches-2015-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3.0 is the clear winner, even if we still have 3000+ packages using 1.0, and ~1000 of those modifying files directly. The other patch systems have basically disappeared.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lucas-nussbaum.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/helpers-2015.png\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, all those graphs are kind-of boring now.
