Debian Maintainer Dashboard update

July 6th, 2012 by lucas

I’ve spent some more time on Debian Maintainer Dashboard (DMD), a maintainer/team-centric dashboard relying on Ultimate Debian Database.

Done:
- added tabs (jquery really rocks) — see example
- added a hacking.html file that describes how to setup a development environment
- created a pad (http://debian.titanpad.com/DMD) to store ideas.

TODO:
- recruit contributors ;)

Could I suggest replacing the text entry for the maintainers list, with a drop-down menu of all available addresses from which the user can choose? Some of us, trying to get started as contributors donĀ“t know all the addresses. Alternatively, if this would be too long, a link to a page with a list of all addresses, from which we can copy and paste.

    cheers

I haven’t done much of DBMS so do not know an ideal answer: shouldn’t it be possible to provide done convenient incremental updates of DB instead of dumping and reimporting a new dump?
I believe snapshot.Debian.org does something like that with its postgres
